Tried a new browser yet?

A glance at our visitor stats tells us that most of you are still using Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 as your main or only browser, and I was wondering how many of you have been tempted to try something new, and if not, why not? Are you worried that you wont like a different browser? Has IE become like a comfortable pair of slippers that you are reluctant to change? As the Firefox browser has reached 90 million downloads this week, and Opera 8.5 has just been released, (and is now totally ad-free), there has never been a better time to give either or both of them a try. Other browsers offer a lot of new features that IE doesnt have, (tabbed browsing, increased security, greater customisation -themes and colours- total ad-blocking and many more), which can considerably enrich your browsing experience. Up to about 12 months ago, I didnt even realise that there were other browsers. I just thought you used the one that came with your operating system, and that was that. I now use both Opera and Firefox more or less equally, as I also use Opera as my email client, and can honestly say I have never looked back. So why not have a read of my browser info page, and take the plunge and go and download something else? After all, you have nothing to lose, as IE will still be there for you, and you can always uninstall the new browser after a while, if you really dont get on with it. I am no browser expert, but am happy to answer any questions you may have once you have downloaded either Firefox or Opera, and will help you with any customising problems you come across, if I can. Just post your questions/thoughts/problems on this thread, and we will take it from there. :redflower:

Well you can use groups in Firefox and Opera, as I have done so myself, but I know what you mean, which is understandable, seeing as MSN and IE all belong to the same happy family.
Maybe I am just a restless soul who gets bored easily, and needs to try something new. All I am trying to do really is alert other folk to the possibilities there are out there and maybe persuade one or two brave souls to dip their toes into unknown waters.
