Sharpening Images

Whenever you resize an image for the web, whether it is a graphic you have made, or a digital photo you have uploaded; it is always a good idea to sharpen it before saving. This is because when an image is resized, it loses some of its clarity or “sharpness”. I have just read an excellent article in Cameron Moll’s blog Authentic Boredom on this subject.
The article talks about Photoshop, but the technique can also be used in PSP and others, so it is well worth a read, whichever graphics program you use. Oh, and do read the comments too, as there are quite a few handy hints and tips in those as well. :wink:
