GoDaddy offers Free Hosting
I received an email from my registrar GoDaddy this morning, informing me that they now offer FREE ad-supported (no pop-ups), hosting with every new domain name, transfer or renewal. The offer is for a 5 page website with 50mb of space, which gives you an excellent opportunity to start your first real website for the price of a domain name (currently around $9 or £4.50 or so per year). This also includes one free email address and 25mb of email storage space. For further details, go to GoDaddy.com and check it out for yourselves. Once you become an adept webmaster, you can trade up to their paid hosting packages, or move your domain to another webhost, if you find a better deal elsewhere. If any of you decide to give this a go, let me know so I can come and have a look at your great new websites.
We all have to start somewhere, so why not here?
(JWG is not affiliated with GoDaddy in any way, and although all our domain names have been purchased through this company, we do not receive any referral fees from them whatsoever).

This free hosting plan is very limited in features. There are a lot of other free hosting offers that are better.

Fair enough. Are there any others you could recommend for our visitors? I always find it very difficult to source decent free hosting to be honest, and usually recommend people to look at cheap hosting instead.
