Well done you nikki!
The very first member brave enough to make a post all on your own…I am impressed.
)
) It is in the JWG bit on the sidebar, and whereas the old one showed GMT, this one should show your computer time wherever you live. Let me know if it works please.
Incidentally blog post times are in GMT because you can only choose one timezone for the blog, but there we are.

Naughty……(Are the troops revolting, do you think?)
Glad you like the new look. I have been playing with it for a little while now as you have guessed (yes I know I should be working on my database, but websites are sooooo much more fun!
I have put a new clock up now, (I love clocks..but you probably knew that already..
OK, I am off to bed now as I am up early for college tomorrow.
Maybe others will be encouraged to post a message now too.
Oh, and Saphy is definitely MIA. And she didnt even ask permission for some leave!

*Chrystal! I’ve downloaded some of your backgrounds. They are really super & I love them all. I’ll let you see a page I make with them as soon as I’m back on dsl. Thanks for making them & sharing them with us.
Maybe on my next visit I’ll try to put an image or two in the creations page or somewhere. LOL I will get this. Really. I also want to read your tut on Java Jewel.
Callling Saphy! Saphy come in …Saphy. We miss you. Plus I’m getting something made for you. [pressies should work

Sweet dreams & have a great day at school tomorrow.

I have added another bit to the tutorial suggesting you right click on view site and open it in new window/tab, so that you can get back to the dashboard, (user control panel) easily. If I find an easier way, I will add that too, (edit: see next comment for solution). I like this, nikki. You are completing a usability survey for me, which is very useful.
Keep on reporting back on anything else you find, so I can look into it. As I said before, being logged in as admin doesnt always alert you to any problems users experience.

Still, they are available for anyone who does want a fairly exclusive, unique memento of JWG.
NB: About the mugs, due to colour changes between print and mugs, the colour of Chrystal’s mug design is a very fetching lilac, instead of the blue it appears to be. It still looks good - just different. I havent got round to redesigning new logos for the shop, and as it is such a lot of work, I will probably leave the goods as they are for the time being. They are not exactly jumping off the shelves..lol, probably because the cafepress prices are not that competitive from the start, and when you add a dollar or two for JWG, it becomes a tad expensive.

Ok, I have sorted the problem of not being able to get back to the dashboard.
When you are logged in and use cookies, the login/register links are replaced by what used to be site admin and logout. Obviously the “site admin” link was a bit misleading, as it appeared for all users to allow them access to the dashboard page, but many users may have assumed that it was only there for site admins like me. To avoid this confusion, I have renamed the link “User Control Panel”, as many of us are familiar with that term from the forum, and have added an explanation and screenshots to the Using JWG tutorial. Thanks again for spotting this, Nikki, as I am quite sure you wouldnt have been the only one to get locked out, so to speak.

Hello, hello
Im afraid I got totally lost on a mysterious Island
Nikki, you know me so well. I’ve bought a new game, and Im totally hooked. Have played it 5 times already. Its very fun, coz unlike most adventure games, this one is not completly linear, and you can solve one problem in several different ways. And as you play, you gather up points, so now Im trying to see how many points I can rack up. This game is called return to mysterious island, and is based on the book by jules verne. Got it off Amazon for £16.99. Not bad for a relative new game. So if anyone wanna have a go give me a shout. Would love to see how many points you come up with.
And did I see something about a pressie
I loooooooove pressies
I will try to look in and say
hello every so often, but if I go awol again, you know what Im most likely to be doing,
15th March 2005 at 23:06
It used to be boys and their toys, didnt it? Now it’s girls and their games…
, I can officially give you leave of absence to go and play your games, but do report back for duty on a weekly basis please, otherwise it is the Glass House for you, and no excuses!
Well now you have turned up again
PS: Chrystal plays a few games too, so you two should get together for a gamers chat.

Hello Saphy! Glad to see that you are caught up in a game. They are so fun. I remember when I first got into Lara Croft. I’m very bad at not stopping for food nor sleep until I’ve completed the game at hand.
Ur game sounds great. If I didn’t have quite a few new programs that are still in the box (not installed) I’d get the game to try it. I told myself no more shopping until I put my new furniture in the rooms it was bought for & —– all new software is installed. I could go for a new game to play, for sure.
Pressies were mentioned. I just sent a msg to Mouse at PU so perhaps it will be ready soon. Oooo oo btw would you send me my pw for your site if its no trouble. I have it on a disk somewhere, just not sure where.
Gina sez tell you all hello
& I’m off to feed the starving kitties.

Good to see you here, Lynnrose.
I didnt like to think I had lost touch with you, after all this time.
( I am guilty of much the same with CIT, to be honest.
I pop in and out, but dont often register my presence). Ditto your comments on design re CIT. We have both come a long way in 4 years, have we not?

Jewel, I am so sorry I hardly know what to say. I will be ever so careful. Hopefully you know I had no idea that could even happen or I wouldn’t have tried to do the tag.
Sorry to make a mess for you to have to sweep up too.
Hope the install went smooth. Woo hoo always nice to get a new anything for our computers.
hugs, Nikki

Dont worry hun, I am good with a brush and shovel.
I didnt know either, so we have both learned something here. We have to experiment though dont we, or what is the point?
I am going to follow you round with my brush from now on though, so be warned…
I am getting there with the new computer. Lovely to get new hardware, but such a pain to reinstall everything from scratch..
Ah well….back to it….

Hi all,
First off I am glad to have found you once again.
I swear that you do this to me to keep me on my toes!
Well first things first. I fell off the diet wagon a tad lol. I have to lose a little weight. I am about 7 pounds over my goal. I was so mad lol. When I was jumping into my jeans. It is amazing what 7 pounds can do to a girl. I want to lose 10 pounds total to get back under goal. I wasn’t bad bad but I wasn’t good either lol. It has been 2 years at goal and I am just so proud of myself that I have kept the weight off.
And also this is so exciting!!!! Remember when I posted that picture of my step mother my sisters mother. Well we had a couple leads on where she lived in Woonsocket R.I. and we went to all three addresses that we were given. And we had no luck. They first didn’t know her then they said that she moved to Maine. I didn’ty understand what they were trying to do either they new her or they didn’t. Anyway we have been looking ever since. Last week I was online and let me tell you I am addicted to the online gaming pogo…. I was in panda poker and I was the only one there and 2 others came in. And the girl said I see that the $%%#$# is here… Now there was only 3 of us and I know that I didnt do anything to her lol. So I said hey “KIDDING AROUND!” I didn’t do anything to you. We just met. And she started laughing saying that he knew who she meant I guess the creep was stalking her every move.
Anyway she asked me what part of R.I. I was from. And I told her and she said that she was from Woonsocket. Well a bell went off in my head, I figured I would just take the longshot question and ask if she knew a Carol Quauranta…. So I did,. And she said yes she did that she went to school with her to get there GED. And that she moved to Maine. I thought that I was dreaming. She even sais the address that I last had for her. Then as we were talking more and more I could tell she was actually getting scared because we were way to close in knowing that this was in fact the same person we were both talking about. Then I asked her another question even forgot what it was, and she said well I don’t know that my friend is actually the one who knows her. All of a sudden it is her friend that knows her. I was like oh ok. She said that she would talk to her friend and see if she could help us find Carol.
The next day she found me in pogo. And told me that it was her and she had a phone number for me. I was like NO WAY!!!!! I don’t believe it. She said yes it is the Mother. And she wants you to call her. Ladies and gentelmen we haven’t seen this woman in 18 years. And here we are we found her. And it was all on a whime. I never thought that this person that popped into that game that I was playing would know her. It was just a WILD thing that happened. I thought well It wont hurt to ask. And it didn’t hurt at all. I called and asked all questions that only she would know. AND YES IT IS HER…… My sisters have been talking to her everyday since all week they have either talked online or on the phone. I told them once they get to know her by talking all the time then they can go a step further into seeing eachother. So happy for them. They have wanted this for so long. See strage things happen. God sent her into that room for a reason. Well I have to go. I will talk to you all later. TTFN.

It is great that you have kept the weight off for 2 years. Don’t mess it all up now. Just remember how long it took you & how hard it was to stay on track & I’m sure you’ll not be real bad.
Really good to see you Ang. Hugs

Hello again.
I am trying to get use to this new site lol.
I can’t seem to get to find the posts lol. I had to go through a post I remember that jewel wrote and then I found the one that I wrote. Because I see that it deosn’t title thenm anymore. Sure Jewel anyhting to mess me up right. I think you ladies like to do this to me lol. So happy to see you ladies again. The chats with my sisters and there mother is going well. They have talekd to her often since I found her. There going to actually meet up with her the day before Mothers Day. What a time to meet her Mothers Day. I haven’t really talked to Carol at all since that first day that I recieved her number. I talkwed to her online for a few minutes a couple times but the main thing is that there keeping in touch with eachother. I am so happy that they are too. I am just hoping that it all turns out good. And that we didn’t “Dust something off only to find that it wasn’t worth Dusting at all” I hope it is good for the well being of my sisters sanity. They have so many questions and I hope that there mother is ready to answer all of them. They ahve the right to know all those questions that they have, well I will keep you posted on all of this ok. I hope to chat with you soon. Have a great day.

Just checking in. I’m still around. Angie that is just so cool. I was telling Gina how you found her. She couldn’t believe it. Pretty incredible.
I’ve been working in the yard and around the house. I’m all ready to take the wall out & enlarge my kitchen. I’m just waiting until the mood strikes me to actually do it. Then the work on the floor will begin once the wall is out. I’ve already taken out the carpeting in the one room & the lineoleum in the kitchen. Yuck! It looks terrible this way. Gina came & helped me paint my office. Its pale pale yellow now & looks very cheery.
Jewel I’m guessing that you are hard at work doing homework. Take lots of breaks. Also, a short nap between subjects is supposed to help you lock in the one subject before moving on to the next. I learned that in my freshman year at college. I think there is something to it. Even if there isn’t anything to it, its a great way to get a fresh start.

Thanks Nikki

Yes, you are right. I sat my Welsh exam yesterday, and am thoroughly exhausted today! I think it is probably the fact that I have come down from the adrenalin high after the exam, too.
I am now preparing to start an assignment on web site management, which is due in on Wednesday.
Please excuse my absence around the site at the moment, folks. I will be back fully at the helm after the 24th May,(the date of my last exam). I can still be reached via email in the meantime though, if anyone needs urgent help.
17th May 2005 at 22:48
I’m off to take a nap–got up way too early this a.m.
might help!

Hi Ladies,
Very busy with the boys as usual, both Elliot and Daniel have had hearing assessments and both have a flatline which indicates fluid in the inner ear, Elliot has been referred to ENT for possible surgery and Daniel is going to have more tests. Jordan’s behaviour is getting worse as he’s getting older and his difficulties due to his Autism are becoming more profound
so he’s a handful at the mo. Along with all this I went back to college to do IT Applications courses 1 and 2 and ECDL, finished and handed in my assignments for the IT apps last week but need to do the ECDL modules now. Also in the middle of the Early Bird Plus scheme which is a course for parents of children with Autism so busy, busy, busy! lol
Just a quick note to say i’m still around
Been driving alot since I passed my test and getting much more confident, love crusing down the motorway at 70 mph lol!
Mum has got a chest infection and has been given anti-biotics for it, she should be feeling better in time to take her exams.
Oh I almost forgot, Daniel has been diagnosed with Developmental Delay and is now offically a Special Needs child for the time being, he’s going to be reviewed every 6 months to see how he’s getting on, we’re hoping that his delay is to do with the fact that he was a prem weight at birth (4lb 10oz) even tho he was born term and will catch up with his peers by the time he’s about 4 or 5, he’s 17months old now and was 15lb 8oz last time he was weighed. Apart from all of that Rob and I are fine
Hope you are all well
Chrystal and gang xxx
